Day Six

September 14, 2011

BOCES: First English class was today. It was another orientation. We already have a project to do. It doesn’t seem that bad though. We took our first quiz today and I am so confident that I not only passed but got a perfect score. Well, I may have gotten one wrong. More Notes again today.

High School: Only one class today. I finally started on actually writing my paragraph for our project. Still had to help around with getting things together. This project is so stressful. I am though really happy that my group is kind of big and we are all getting along and doing what we are supposed to. It’s helps.

Day Five

September 13, 2011

BOCES: We took a bunch more notes on basic chemistry. Tomorrow is our first quiz and it will be twenty five questions. I am a little nervous. I studied a little. It was really just a note taking day.

High School: We did nothing in gym again but talk to one another on the bleachers. In P.I.G. we did some research in the library but I spent my time doing a meeting to get things rolling and in order. Now I must finally start my research. It’s all due Friday and I want my part to be perfect in case I screw up the speech. It is hard being a president candidate but I am pretty confident in my group.

Day Four

September 12, 2011

BOCES: Today we took around five pages or more of notes that was just basic chemistry and a positioning. We had another orientation today about parking and disciplinary acts.

High School: We spent the day in the computer lab researching for our mock debate. I was reading this huge essay on against and for gay marriage.

All in all it was an average day of school.

Day Three

September 9, 2011

Boces: We watched a documentary today called “Inside the Living Body” and it was really awesome to say the least. It showed from birth to death and how our body’s change and adjust. It was very informative. We took some notes so all in all it was a good class.

High School: Did not do anything in gym but talk to my friends. It was probably the worse gym class ever though. We watched the CNN Documentary on 9/11 in P.I.G. class so that was kinda chilling.

Day Two

September 8, 2011

BOCES: We arrived to school around 8:10 a.m. and were immediately shuffled to the conference room which was already filled with at least one hundred practical nursing students. We sat there till 11:10 a.m. listening to our teachers give us a special practical nursing orientation. It went very slow and was very boring. We received our handbooks and were assigned our first homework assignment. The ball is now starting to roll.

High School: I got to school ten minutes late but it was worth it. I needed food. The only class I had was P.I.G. (Participation in Government). We are doing a mock election. We took a questionnaire to see if we are liberal or conservative or moderate. the class was pretty split into two groups, liberal and moderates. We split us and my group decided I was most fit to run as president. (I am a pretty good at speaking loudly and in front of groups of people). The only thing that bothers is the speech I give won’t be written by me but by two of my classmates and a lot of my classmates want to put my face everywhere. My group is so enthused about this project.

So all in all today was a pretty okay day. I have gone insane yet.

Day One

September 7, 2011

I am a senior in high school. I also take an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) class. I am in a class of about ten girls in high school who all share my dream. We all know one another from last year so it’s a nice being stuck in the boat with them.

BOCES: Today we met our teacher, she is a soft spoken sweetheart. She got us donuts, tea, and coffee. We toured the school to get more familiar with it even though we went here last year. We also got our text books and study guides. It was a lovely first day. Just a basic school orientation.

High School: I got there just in time and I was pretty excited to see that I knew everyone in my gym class including a few freshman. So now seventh period will my favorite part of the day.
